See our new article reporting optical control of magnetism in a correlated oxide, now out in Nature (open access): https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-023-05853-8
We showed that by resonantly driving different vibrational modes, the magnetization of YTiO3 could be modified, and moreover, the effective ferromagnetic ordering temperature became three times larger. This work was a result of a collaboration between researchers at the Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter, the Max Planck Institute for Solid State Physics, and Harvard/UCLA. Thanks to the whole team for their hard work!
