It should come as no surprise that Eleanor Richard (Applied & Engineering Physics ’25), who has been working in the Disa Lab since 2022, has been recognized for her outstanding research work by Optica, the international professional society for optics and photonics! She was selected as one of 20 Optica Women Scholars from a pool of undergraduate and masters students worldwide for her academic and research achievements, as well has her potential as a future leader in the field.
Eleanor will be awarded a scholarship from Optica to support her career and her research on light-matter interaction in quantum materials. We couldn’t be more proud of her accomplishments. Congratulations Eleanor on this well deserved honor!
